The comic

Episode 1: The Lid

The story of Unsealed starts as a comic. A drill crew chasing a bonus, a street busker who's never sung a spell in her life, a tired commander who has seen everything, until now. And something under Harrow Falls that has been waiting a very long time.

The story

Coming to the Emberverse

More fighters on the way

The roster keeps growing. These characters are in the works, from the early campaign farms to whole new squads.

Portraits are early looks and may change before launch.

What makes it different

More than five against five

Most squad games stop at one team of five. Unsealed builds whole modes around a deep bench, gives some characters a sixth seat, and runs Arena formats that ask for more than one good squad.

Reserves

Your bench fights too

The Long Watch · 5 fight, 10 wait
  • The Long Watch: bring up to 15. Five fight and the rest wait. Health and effects carry between waves, the fallen stay down, and you pick every replacement.
  • Deep Bench: an Arena format with two reserves who can swing the fight.
  • Phase Boss: Paywall takes three squads across three phases.
Field Support

A sixth seat

Squad of 5 + Field Support

Some characters carry a Field Support ability. Put one in the sixth seat and they stay out of the fight, but their ability still works for the whole battle.

  • Rare by design: only a few characters have one, and it sits apart from the rest of their kit.
  • Early access: Rustmend is the first, and a short campaign early on lets new players recruit her.
Arena

Four ways to fight

Ranked
vs
Deep Bench
vs
Burn Through · winner stays in
Gauntlet · best of three
  • Ranked Arena: one squad of five, heroes and villains together, on a 100-rank ladder.
  • Deep Bench: five fighters and two reserves a side.
  • Burn Through: three squads a side. The winner stays in with its damage and faces the next squad.
  • Gauntlet: three squads a side in three separate matchups. Win two to take it.
Heroes and villains together

The Arena lets you mix both sides into one squad.

Every character on their own clock

Specials and Ultimates charge at their own pace for each character, so no two squads keep the same rhythm.

Teams built to counter

Some squads are made to beat others, so no single team stays on top.

How it plays

Five in a squad. Every pick matters.

Battles are turn-based. You build a squad of five and every character fills a role, so a squad lives or dies on how those roles fit together.

Five roles
  • Protector

Takes the hits and shields the squad with taunts, barriers and defense.

  • Brawler

Fights up close, chains attacks and punishes anyone who swings back.

  • Blaster

Big damage, whether one target or the whole enemy line.

  • Controller

Slows, blinds and weakens enemies to bend the fight your way.

  • Support

Heals, cleanses and keeps everyone standing.

Four origins
Mutant

The Changed, rewritten by the Ember.

Magic

Wardens, Wildflames and older things.

Tech

Armor, androids and Ember cells.

Skill

No powers. Just training and nerve.

Light their Embers

Earn Ember shards to recruit a character, then keep collecting them to light up to seven Embers and make them stronger.
